Biography: Alexia, born and raised in Boston, MA with a passion for visual art; not only art you can see with your eyes, but art you can feel with your heart. Art that is bold, colorful, powerful, inspiring, and free. She values the strength behind her work and her personal creativity. She has found her balance amongst those of the editorial fashion world, but like every visionary this creative mind has a story. Beginning her journey back in 2014, at the age of 26, this brave heart stepped out on faith, completely changing her career. She realized tiring, unsatisfying office work was not how she wanted to waste her talents for the rest of her life. She entered beauty school and a year later, determination and persistence lead her to graduating and soon after the launching of her new career. Alexia Jay became a name associated with editorial, high-fashion, artistic chaos. Her love for “switching it up” gave her the ability to come in to this fairly new environment and totally switch up the game. With humbleness and magic hands, she enters the doors to the fashion kingdom with a brand and a name as Alexia Jay, Fashion Editorial Makeup and Hair Artist. Collaborating with other local artists helped her to gain the experience she needed to land gigs with people in both the fashion and music industry such as Celebrity blogger, Claire Sulmers of the famous Fashion Bomb Daily and Joelle Fontaine of high fashion clothing brand, I am Kreyol. She has since been featured in The Bostonian, Teen Vogue, and Vogue Italia; just to name a few.
